FOOTBALLBOOKREVIEWS.COM GIVES APPROVAL - 02.05.11

Football Book Reviews has given I Had A Wheelbarrow a glowing reference in one of their latest review set to be issued after the final game of the season. Paul from the Review website stated:

"This is no run of the mill diary of a season. Luke Williamson weaves the Magpies title winning season and the controversy off the field, amongst football memories of his childhood and the bittersweet experience of relationships"

The full review will feature here next week.

SECOND PRINT RUN CONFIRMED - 28.04.11

The second print has been confirmed for next week after fantastic feedback and sales figures have been released for I Had A Wheelbarrow. Luke Williamson confirmed "Fans of Notts County and various other clubs have been forthcoming with great  support for the book and I am delighted with the feedback so far. It has also been a big success down at the Notts County Club Shop and with the reviews I have had so far so I am made-up that a second edition is already set for the printers."

AN APOLOGY TO JOHN MOUNTENEY - 19.04.11

Luke Williamson would like to apologise to Notts County's former Vice-Chairman John Mounteney for a reference made in the book I Had A Wheelbarrow  with regards to a financial loss John made in the deal that saw Munto Finance take over the club. On an evening when Luke met John the pair discussed a sum of money that John had felt he had been conned out of. The publication refers to "£600,000" being the amount John lost out on in the deal but Luke would like to amend the record.

"John has confirmed the sum was £100,000 as opposed to the £600,000 figure I have misquoted within the chapter 'The Rice Pudding Brigade'. This is a genuine error made on my part and I apologise to John for any embarrassment this may have caused.

"John brought the error to my intention whilst letting me know that he has been enjoying the book and I am glad that the error has not eclipsed his own enjoyment so far."
